Lenten Bible Study & Preaching Series Lenten small groups will begin the week of February 21. The groups will study Five Practices of a Fruitful Congregation written by Bishop Robert Schnase. A day-to-day devotional is also included in the book set. Lent is a call to transformation. This study allows us to participate in the process of becoming more fully the person, and the congregation, God wants us to be. Sign-up and books are available in the Great Hall.

From The Business Office (March 2010)

The Board of Trustees will continue to evaluate our recent landscape proposals and determine when and what can be done this year.

Foot-Washing Service

Many people are quite particular about uncovering their feet or their feet being touched. The purpose of the foot-washing service (each participant will be served by two persons in a semi-private area) is to remind us of the servant heart and humility of Christ. In John 13:1-17, Jesus took on the role of a servant when he washed the feet of his diciples. Peter initially felt unworthy as he correctly understood that the master would never serve the servant in that culture. Yet in this act, Jesus was again teaching disicples, past and present, that to follow him would equal the follower having a heart and passion for serving others.
