Mom’s Got Connections is a Christian moms’ group emphasizing in fellowship and support for mom’s with young children (0-5 yrs) and providing social activities for both moms and their children. Mom’s Got Connections (MGC) will meet at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church at 2717 West Hefner Road from 9:30 to 11am most Tuesdays as indicated by our winter schedule. Each Tuesday that we meet at Chapel Hill UMC, there will be childcare. In addition to our Tuesday morning meetings, we will continue our fun with a Mom’s Nights Out and our Kidz Dayz once a month. MGC’s meetings at the church will take place in the meeting room next to the Parlor Kitchen from 9:30am to 11am. Childcare check-in will start at 9:15am and check-out will conclude at 11:15am. Membership dues will remain at $25 per family for this semester. The dues are applied to the group’s activities and childcare. Now for more specifics on our meeting and activities:

• Coffee and Conversation (C&C) – We will have a different activities each month that will allow us to get to know each other, encourage sharing and enrich our fellowship time. We will be sharing a short devotional, sharing our favorite fall recipes, our wedding pictures and favorite cookie recipes. We always take time to share our personal concerns, questions and prayer requests with each other.
• Bring Your Own Project (BYOP) – This is your one chance a month to work on that project that you need to get done (scrapbooking, knitting, crafts, address Christmas cards or just get those bills paid). This is your opportunity to be productive, socialize, see what everyone else is working on or just relax with that magazine you never have time to read.
• Breakfast Date – Here is your opportunity to go to breakfast with the girls WITH childcare already arranged!!!
• Lunch Date – It is another opportunity to spend time with other moms and enjoy a nice meal while your children eat and play with their friends.
• Kidz Dayz – Each month we get together with our children and go on different outings.
• Mom’s Night Out – We’ve just got to have a night out occasionally!!! Join us for fun, food and laughter as we take a break from our normal evening routines.
• Misc Activities – We will add a few activities to our schedule as they arise throughout the winter/spring. We will also discuss in our meetings as to the service projects that we would like to participate in this semester as well.
