Life Line Screening
Life Line Screening, a leading provider of commu- nity-based preventive health screenings, will host their affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings on October 25. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries (leading cause of stroke), abdominal aortic aneurysms (can lead to a ruptured aorta), hardening of the arteries in the legs (a strong predictor of heart disease), atrial fibrilla- tion or irregular heart beat (closely tied to stroke risk), and a bone density screening (used to assess the risk of osteoporosis). Register for a Wellness Package which includes 4 vascular tests and osteoporosis screening from $149 ($139 with our member discount). All five screenings take 60- 90 minutes to complete. In order to register for this event, and to receive a $10 discount off any package priced above $129, please call 1-888- 653-6441 or visit www.lifelinescreening.com/ community-partners.
I know I’m 55 and I am not old – not in my mind. Just don’t ask a 10 year old his opinion! I do enjoy the company of those that are older than myself and take advantage of the experience and wisdom they offer. The fascinating lives of those that are older than ourselves is something that can be found while on a bus to a location we both find interesting and want to learn more about.
Make new friends, travel with old friends, or just enjoy the beauty and history of the following day trips being offered through ReCreation Adventure Tours. Details of each tour can be found on the table in the Great Hall near the west hallway.
