WatCH dinner starts at 5:15 in Fellowship Hall. We will begin youth at 6:15 upstairs and it will last until 7:30. We are studying the Butterfly Effect, which talks about how the decisions we make now will affect us and others in the future. It’s a great study that you won’t want to miss!
Confirmation will meet in the 7th grade room in the basement from 6:00-7:30 and dinner will be provided.
Sunday, February 5
It’s time for our annual Flamingo Bowl game! Girls v. Guys at Duffner Park at 3:30. Come to play or to cheer on your favorite team!
We will have a Super Bowl watch party right after the game and it will last until 7:30. Bring your favorite game day dish to share with everyone! (you can store it in the fridge at church before the game, if needed). The location to watch the game isn’t determined yet, but I will let you know in the next few days (either at church or in a home).
Registration deadline for Mid-Winter Retreat
Upcoming Events
Mid-Winter Retreat is February 24-26 at Canyon Camp in Hinton, OK. The cost is $70. Registration deadline is Sunday, February 5.
30-Hour Famine is March 16-18. We would like to encourage each student (even if not present during the famine) to help us meet our goal of raising $5400, which will feed 30 kids in Africa for 6 months. We would like for each student to get a $30 donation from 7 people, which would be a total of $210 per student.
We will have dinner Friday night at church then spend the night both Friday and Saturday night at Chapel Hill. Our famine will last until Sunday morning when we will have a big breakfast before church starts. After church the students are free to go home with their family.
