2011 Spring Break Ski Trip |

We are planning a ski trip for Spring Break 2011! We are excited about this trip because it’s the first ski trip the youth group has taken since 2006. We are going to Crested Butte, CO and staying at the Old Town Inn http://mountain-escapes.com/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=65&dest=4. We will leave Monday, March 14 at around 10pm and drive all night. We will arrive in Crested Butte Tuesday afternoon and get our ski rentals done and have time to explore the town. We will ski Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. After we finish skiing Friday, we will change clothes and get on the bus and head for home. We should arrive back in OKC Saturday morning. We would like for this to be a family trip so parents and siblings of students are invited. If a student would like to come but their family can’t, that’s okay too. We’ll pair students with others. We will need chaperones though. Below is the cost breakdown of the trip. The first deposit is due soon.Â
1st deposit:Â $50/person due by 20 September
2nd deposit: $100/Person due by 5 December
Balance due by end of January
Beginner ski lessons are around $80-$100, which is a separate cost.
3 Nights Lodging/3 ski days (includes lift ticket, ski rental, charter bus and continental breakfast):
Adult ski package (ages 18+): $375.00/person
Packet without ski rental: $335.00/person
Young adult ski package (ages 13-17): $360.00/person
Package without ski rental: $320.00/person
Child ski package (ages 7-12): $305.00/person
Package without ski rental: $265.00/person
Non-skier package for all ages (includes lodging, charter bus and continental breakfast): $195.00/person
The town of Crested Butte is really nice and there are a lot of shops and different activities, so even a non-skier won’t be bored!
These prices are based on 4 people per room. If you have less than that in your room, you will add $106.00 for each vacant spot in your room. For example, if you have a family of 3 and you don’t want a 4th person in your room, your family will pay an additional $106. If you are a couple and don’t want to share a room with anyone else, you will pay an additional $212.
The only food included in the price is a continental breakfast. Lunch, dinner, and snacks will be on your own.

Sign up is now open for Jesus University for the 2010-2011 school year! I need your name and t-shirt size. The cost is $25 which includes a shirt and curriculum/supplies for the school year. You must enroll each year to be eligible for the JU scholarfund! The JU kickoff party is Sunday, September 12 from 9:30-10:45 in the gym.
Wednesday, September 1
No Adoration! We will be taking this Wednesday off. Next Wednesday will be School Spirit Theme Night. Please bring your school stuff, marked with your name (shirts, banners, megaphones, pom poms, etc.) this Sunday to decorate the gym for theme night. You can take your things back home with you Wednesday night after theme night.
Thursday, September 2
Bible study from 4:30-6:30pm. We will be studying David. This study is open to everyone! We will meet in GH 2.Â

No Refuge—Labor Day weekend

Upcoming Events
7th grade parent/confirmation meeting will be Sunday Sept. 12 at 10:45 am in the 7th grade tile room. Parents and 7th graders are all welcome.
SAVE THE DATE!!!! October 15-17 is the Fall Retreat at Jacob’s Ladder! The cost is $60 and registration deadline is Wednesday, September 29. I need your name and t-shirt size.
