Zach Zink, Associate Pastor of Students, has accepted a non-church related position. He will leave Chapel Hill on August 20th to begin his new job. The Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) has begun the process to find a called and suitably gifted person to lead our student ministries. Amanda Walz, Minister of Families, is working with SPRC to ensure continuation of student ministry as we make this transition. A letter from Zach is below.
A.A. Milne, author and creator of Winnie the Pooh, said it best: “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” My time at Chapel Hill as one of your Associate Pastors has been a tremendous honor and privilege. It has been a joy to walk alongside you as we discovered, experienced, and lived out our faith in Jesus. I want to thank all of you who welcomed my family and helped make us feel a part of yours. At the beginning of my time, we had just welcomed our youngest son into our lives. At the same time we were welcomed by so many others who showed Christ’s love towards us. It is never easy stepping into a new ministry and you made it a wonderful experience. I am grateful for the many experiences and lessons I learned during my time here. Thank you! Thank you to my coworkers, ministry leaders, parents, students, and the numerous others I encountered during my time at Chapel Hill. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers!
